Lucas Grayson

Lucas grew up in Port Hardy, BC. He is proud to call Northern Vancouver Island home and has spent his life fishing the coast. Lucas has been working as a fishing guide since 2014 - taking guests on trips out of Port Hardy and the Queen Charolette Islands. He loves sharing his passion for fishing with his guests and has a way of making everyone who comes on his fishing charter in Port Hardy feel comfortable, welcome, and safe.
Lucas’ love for being on the water extends past fishing - he also loves to surf. When he isn’t fishing, you will likely find him searching for waves on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. He is excited to share his knowledge of the coast with you and looks forward to being a part of your north island adventure.
Ryan Murray

Ryan grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan. His early memories of fishing were with his brother, casting spoons into the lakes in an attempt to catch a walleye or a jack. Very soon after Ryan and Lucas met, Lucas invited Ryan to Port Hardy for some summer salmon fishing. Even though Ryan explained to Lucas that he was only a so-so fisherman, Lucas was convinced that he could get Ryan a fish – and he did. During Ryan’s first trip to Port Hardy, Lucas found Ryan a 25 pound Chinook (Spring) Salmon. Ryan was amazed at its strength and how hard it fought the rod. Needless to say, his first experience ocean fishing off the coast of Vancouver Island completely ignited a love and passion for fishing.
Our Story
Lucas and Ryan met while playing hockey together for the Everett Silvertips in the Western Hockey League. They soon became best friends and roommates on the team. Lucas shared stories with Ryan about fishing in his hometown of Port Hardy, BC, and how it was some of the best salmon fishing in the world. One summer Ryan came to visit and fish with Lucas in Port Hardy. He was blown away by the natural and raw landscape of Northern Vancouver Island.
Since that visit, Ryan and Lucas have dreamed of starting their own fishing charter business, and they are excited to have made that dream a reality. They are prepared to ensure that you not only have the time of your life fishing, but also a relaxing and comfortable experience every second in between. So bring yourself, your friends, or your family along for an unforgettable experience. We’ll take care of the rest.

Along with taking you to all the local fishing hotspots, we are also dedicated in making sure your lunches, gear, lines, bait, boat, and sometimes the beer is ready to go for you when you step foot on our executive level fishing vessels.
We take care of everything from the moment you step onto our boat, to the time we’re handing you your vacuum sealed, cooler packed, freshly caught salmon, halibut, and lingcod. We take into consideration every detail of your trip so you can come and relax to enjoy what you came to do – fish. We’re always excited for fishing season, and we hope to see you and your group up in Hardy!
